The Elizabethtown Gas Energy Management Program helps existing commercial and industrial facilities reduce energy use by taking a holistic, whole-building approach. It enhances energy performance through maintenance, system tune-ups, and the implementation of energy-saving strategies that optimize building operations and systems. Contact us today to find out which path is best for your facility.
Designed to optimize energy consumption for larger C&I customers through long term management of major energy using systems. SEM provides a holistic approach that is focused on the management of existing systems and processes (including behavior), as well as tracking and benchmarking performance to identify and evaluate energy optimization efforts.
First request an audit. Fill out the form to your right or call 1.888.263.7372 and an Energy Advisor will help determine your facility's eligibility. Our experts will factor in your business' needs and explore opportunities for energy and cost savings.
Next, we’ll help you establish an energy team. Your internal energy team will learn about energy efficiency and pave the way for energy savings.
Set realistic goals. We’ll help put together an attainable action plan, including the implementation of low- or no-cost upgrades, and we’ll help you achieve them. We provide ongoing guidance and support, measure your progress, and make any necessary adjustments.
Save your energy and get incentives. Watch your energy usage decrease and see your operating costs go down. Plus, receive $0.50 for each therm saved and $0.04 for each kWh saved – with no cost cap!

Your facility should be 50,000 square feet or larger with a recommended annual natural gas usage of 100,000 therms or more. In addition, historical gas and electricity utility usage data (such as interval meter readings or daily usage, if available) are required. Production data may also be requested (if applicable).
Provides maintenance and minor repair services for boilers and furnaces.
Regularly maintained HVAC systems run more efficiently and last longer. Our furnace and boiler tune-up rebates help to ensure that your natural gas furnace is operating at maximum efficiency and avoid expensive repairs. Visit the Heating System Tune-Up page for details.
The Building Operator Certification (BOC) is a new training and certification program for commercial and industrial building operators with facilities of 50,000+ conditioned square feet. The curriculum teaches participants how to improve the comfort and efficiency of their facility by optimizing its systems. Training for building operators located within ETG’s service territory is provided and will be offered in-person and virtually.
There are no BOC training courses scheduled at this time. Check back for updates.
Elizabethtown Gas is offering a $1,000 upfront incentive for enrolling in the program. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will be awarded a certificate and can begin using a Certified Building Operator (CBO) credential.
Retro-Commissioning: Retro-Commissioning (“RCx”) measures provide a comprehensive assessment of a customer’s commercial/industrial building by using a prescribed planning process that includes a building audit, development of an action plan for the building, and development of a Measurement and Verification (“M&V”) plan to ensure the optimum ongoing performance of the building and building systems.
Monitoring-Based Commissioning: Monitoring-Based Commissioning (MBCx) integrates monitoring software with a building’s energy management system to uncover energy-saving opportunities and enhance overall performance. Through contracted services, customers receive alerts when equipment deviates from expected operation based on fault parameters and are supported in resolving issues and implementing improvements to maximize efficiency.
Virtual Commissioning: Virtual Commissioning (VCx) provides eligible customers with an initial assessment of their building’s energy performance using interval meter and/or advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) data. Through modeling and analysis, the program identifies potential energy efficiency measures and recommends behavioral or operational changes to enhance overall building performance.
