Items needed for enrollment: 
  • Please be prepared to provide information regarding business license and certificate of insurance details, including expiration dates, number of employees, type of business, and services offered
  • Tax ID
  • Direct Install Program Contractor Participation Agreement

Required: 

  • Completed W-9 Form
  • Copy of NJ Business Registration Certificate from the NJ Division of Revenue website for your company https://www1.state.nj.us/TYTR_BRC/jsp/BRCLoginJsp.jsp
  • Business license(s) (e.g. HVAC Contractor) applicable to the work your company will perform under the Program(s)
  • Certificate of Insurance from your insurer documenting required insurance policy and coverage as shown below. Required language in Description and Certificate Holder can be seen in example. (See Sample Certificate of Insurance)
    1. Commercial General Liability – $1,000,000 each occurrence
    2. Employer’s Liability – $1,000,000 each occurrence or illness
    3. Automobile Liability – $1,000,000 each occurrence
    4. Workers’ Compensation – per statutory requirements
    5. Professional Liability – $1,000,000 each occurrence
    6. Excess/Umbrella – $4,000,000 each occurrence
  • Signed Direct Install Contractor Participation Agreement.

If applicable: 

  • Proof of diverse business status
    • Minority, Women, or Veteran Business Enterprise (MWVBE) Certificate
  • Current Alternate Name form (dba) filed with the State of NJ 
Application Process and Further Details

  • Prior to approval, we will reach out to you to provide a test evaluating your experience and capability in conducting full site energy assessments.
  • Upon approval, you must attend a mandatory onboarding training session before starting work and submitting program applications.
  • The Program Team will be conducting 100% pre and post inspections for DI projects.
  • Participating Contractors are required to be used for DI projects.
